Welcome to the official website of the Membrane Society of Australasia

The Society is in its inaugural phase with a diverse board of interim directors representing research in membrane technology from the Australasian region spanning across the food, water, energy and gas industries.

The Membrane Society of Australasia (MSA) aims to represent and promote the activities in membrane science and technology both in the research and industrial sectors as described in our Vision and Mission. In doing this, the MSA will support a major bid in 2009 for Australia to host the International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes (ICOM) in 2014.

We look forward to receiving your interest in the MSA and most importantly, your constructive suggestions to help us build Australasia’s first membrane society.

Student Symposium

MSA also hosts student symposium events. The 1st MSA Student Symposium was held on the 18-20th February 2010 at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus and was a great success. We wish to thank everyone who was involved, everyone who participated, and congratulations to the winners of the best oral and poster presentations.

The 6th Conference of the Aseanian Membrane Society / 7th International Membrane Science and Technology Conference (AMS6/IMSTEC10)

MSA is co-organising and co-sponsoring the 6th conference of the Aseanian Membrane Society in conjunction with the 7th International Membrane Science and Technology Conference (AMS6/IMSTEC10), to be held November 22-26, 2010 in Sydney. This international conference is aimed towards membrane researchers, manufacturers and end-users who wish to keep abreast of recent progress in membrane science and technology.
