The 3rd International Symposium on Inorganic Membranes

The Institute of Sustainability and Innovation (ISI) will host the 3rd International Symposium on Inorganic Membranes at Victoria University's Flinders St Campus, Melbourne, Victoria on Friday 26 November; this is also the last day of the AMS6/IMSTEC10 conference in Sydney (post-conference technical tour day).

CO2CRC Public Lecture - Carbon Capture & Storage Under the Spotlight

A free public lecture hosted by CO2CRC entitled "Carbon Capture & Storage Under the Spotlight" will be staged at the University of Melbourne: the Copland Theatre of the Economics and Commerce Building, at Thursday, 22/07/10, 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Professor Ross Garnaut (Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow, University of Melbourne), Dr Peter Cook (CEO CO2CRC) & Mr Barry Hooper (Chief Technologist CO2CRC) will discuss the development of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) - a technology with the potential to significantly reduce global greenhouse gas emissions - and in particular Australian research and demonstration projects. The lecture will be chaired by Professor Geoff Stevens (Department of Chemical Engineering) and Professor Mike Sandiford (Director Melbourne Energy Institute).
