Founded in 2022, the Mineral Recovery Research Centre (MRRC) at ECU is a leading facility focused on sustainable mineral extraction and the development of advanced chemical processing flowsheets. In just two years, MRRC has grown significantly, with a team of nine full-time academics and 30 HDR students. Since its launch, the Centre has secured around $7.5 million in research funding from industry and government sources.
