MSA Distinguished Scholars
This initiative offers funding to facilitate visits by internationally recognised experts in membrane science to institutions across Australasia. All MSA members can apply for the funding support from the MSA. To qualify for this funding program, applications must include matched funding, with at least an equal monetary contribution from other sources to support the visit.. MSA Distinguished Scholars 2025

The Membrane Society of Australasia is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 MSA Distinguished Scholar recognition: Professor Menachem Elimelech and Professor Frank Lipnizki.

These internationally renowned experts will visit institutions across Australia while serving as plenary speakers at IMSTEC 2025, sharing their expertise and fostering collaboration in membrane science and technology

Prof. Menachem Elimelech
Nancy and Clint Carlson Professor, Rice University, USA

During his visit, Prof. Elimelech will engage with researchers at The University of Queensland, Monash University, and University of Technology Sydney.

Prof. Frank Lipnizki
President, European Membrane Society (EMS); Lund University, Sweden

Prof. Lipnizki will be hosted by several institutions, including The University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, Monash Centre for Membrane Innovation (MCMI) and CSIRO.
